Project with a State Government on working out the mechanisms of Private Ro-Ro Vessel Financing

The Client, a state government of India, has a navigable waterway stretch of 2,293 km in length and wishes to efficiently harness the prospects of the underutilized water transportation network of the State by building substantial competencies across the state’s navigable waterways. The state government envisages that one of the primary ways of harnessing this potential is by promoting Roll‐On Roll‐Off (RO-RO) operations across the State traversable waterway and requested Intueri to conduct a study to develop a model RO-RO.  

The Study for State included the development of the following: 

• Demand Assessment of Vessel in the Project Area 
• Volume Analysis of Commercial Vehicle 
• Identification of Route and feasibility analysis 
• Creating a financing model for State Governments, Bankers, and Multilateral Agency 
• Impact analysis to initiate a water-based transport system
