The client, an Indian Bank and Financial Services Company, needed assistance for its IT Transformation. The Core Banking System and most of the critical Functional/Business Applications were outsourced in the SAS model, but the Bank has now started to move them in-house and into their own data centres managed through third parties. Intueri is engaged with them as the PMO (Project Management Office) Consultant for the entire digital transformation, the assignment involves the mapping of skills and competency of technology professionals in the Bank to projects, and set up appropriate processes and mechanisms of utilization tracking and staff productivity enhancement. The assignment is done jointly between the Bank Management and Intueri’s team of professionals.
The three-phase IT transformation for the Bank included the following developments and processes:
Phase 1: Performance turn-around for an enterprise credit vertical of one of India’s fastest-growing banks
Phase 2: Skills, competency, and capacity planning for multi-system, multi-product IT transformation for India’s fastest growing banks specialising in micro financing. Creation of a Quality Management System SOP to support IT transformation governance.
Phase 3: Re-assessment of IT personnel capacity with additional applications (including core banking system). Division of Run-the-Bank and Transform-the-Bank teams via IT organisation restructuring. Personnel projections throughout the transformation phases based on system architecture and IT-specific metrics.
